Our Vegetable Garden at Agriturismo Ca' Pasquin

Our vegetable garden is the heart of our farm and a place where passion, respect for nature and curiosity come together. Although we are still new to the world of vegetable gardening, we have consciously chosen the no-dig method, a sustainable way of gardening that does not involve digging up the soil. This protects soil life and promotes healthy, fertile soil with less disturbance.

Completely organic and free from plastics
We work completely organically and do not use artificial fertilizers or pesticides. Everything in our garden grows naturally, with respect for the environment. We choose natural solutions to keep our plants healthy and work together with the biodiversity of the garden.

Harvest all year round
With the help of our greenhouse we can extend the season and let some crops, such as peppers and chillies, ripen optimally. This not only gives us more flexibility, but also ensures that we have a richer and tastier harvest, regardless of the season.

Biodiversity as a guideline
Our garden is an ode to biodiversity. We not only plant a wide range of vegetables and fruits, but also emphasize old, forgotten varieties. From colorful tomatoes and spicy peppers to juicy strawberries and small fruits, the variety is enormous. This diversity also attracts more beneficial insects and birds, which contributes to a natural balance in our garden.

From own seeds to local sales
We try to grow our own plants as much as possible, preferably from seeds that we harvest ourselves. This gives us control over the quality and the preservation of unique, old varieties. What we grow, we mainly use in our kitchen, but we also try to share some of it with the region by selling it locally.

Our main crops
Although we actually grow too much to mention, our focus is on:

  • Peppers and chillies (both spicy and sweet)
  • Tomatoes, in all kind of colours and shapes
  • Leafy greens for fresh salads
  • Strawberries and small fruits, such as berries and blackberries
  • Potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Our vegetable garden is growing and developing with us, and we can't wait to share our passion and harvest with our guests and the local community. Agriturismo Ca’ Pasquin it's all about taste, tradition and respect for nature!
